A few things on my mind ....

The tear in my brand new sofa - just out of the packaging. Argos will be collecting it on Saturday and replacing then too.

But the chair looks lovely in the corner - my birthday flowers are still looking (and smelling) beautiful. Greg bought me them on Friday.

A very bright blanket I am working on at the moment - started it on Friday. Hubby and I saw the bright wool and I loved it ! I am weaving the ends in as I go ....

Destruction of a sofa ....

Well we had to say good bye to the sofa we have had for almost eleven years now. It was so big we would have had to take doors off hinges to get out of the house and take over the back garden fence and around the block! So we decided to demolish it !

This is where I am sitting right now - this is the under lay not my new beautiful carpet ....

These are the flowers hubby bought me as he will be missing my birthday. The lovely bowl he brought home with him hand made and painted in Libya.

Busy, Busy ....

Cleared the lounge and dining room - we are getting new carpets laid on Monday. Most of the contents are squashed into our play room.

Greg and Anna-Kate painted her room - and ripped up her old carpet.

The Sunflower has opened !

What can I watch now every morning ? I am so glad that it opened before it gets really cold !

We are almost there ....

Slowly opening up - hope this sun flower sees some sun shine today... we have not been lucky with the weather this week.

My 2 yesterday morning on the way to school - they are just about the same height !

Sunflower Watch Continues.

Not yet open - getting closer now I think !

My finished blanket needs the ends to be woven in still and the green blanket is the one I am working on now.

Went to look at my sunflowers - not quite ready to bloom.

Luke's homework - he had to create an alien !

Spider Season.

Went outside at 7-30 this morning. And saw so many spiders and spiderwebs I had to take a photo of one of them !

Early Saturday Morning.

Still waiting for some sunflowers to open - hope they make it before it cools down too much (this picture was taken at 7-30 AM this morning) you can see spiderwebs on the bud.

A blanket I have made just by using up my stash of wool - trying to turn it all into blankets before our big move.!

Treasures in the Garden.

I went into the garden after the afternoon school run yesterday. I found a butterfly resting on the slide - it looked a bit battered but was a bright orange when she opened her wings.

Then I looked over and saw my sunflowers enjoying the afternoon sun -

Tikkie was lying in a box in the playroom and Sherry was resting on my treadmill !

Sunflowers and Squares.

My sunflowers are still putting on a show - there are a lot of sunflowers growing in my strawberry patch this year ! Which is nice as then I can see them when I am running on my treadmill.

This is what 105 granny squares looks like - I am working on number 106 as I type ! I will have blankets before Christmas !

My Messy Shed !

I have decided to sort out my shed today - after the school run and my daily exercises ! I need more space to store things out of the house in preparation for the carpet layers next week !

Our Back Garden.

Taken this morning at 7-30 am by me leaning out of my bedroom window ! Anna-Kate was very worried I would drop the camera - not so worried about me falling out !

Day out at Clevedon.

We had a day out yesterday - we drove down to Clevedon with my parents.

This photo is my favourite - my dad encouraging my two to be naughty ! The sign says do not let your children walk on the wall - I only realised after taking this picture and the drop was horrible !

We saw some donkeys - this was a character!

We walked all the way to the pier - it was a long way.

Thursday Night's Moon.

When I let the dog out for a sniff about the garden we saw the beautiful moon.

Once Daily ...

I joined this club yesterday, I am going to try to stick to it. By taking one photo a day of my crafts. I am thinking about taking a photo of whatever is in front of me at a particular time.... but have not chosen a time yet.

This is the photo I put up yesterday - I am using up all the scraps of wool I have in preparation of the big move. I am just making Granny Squares to make up blankets. The flowers were given to me by my SIL at the BBQ we had on Monday.

Must go and get ready for the day as it is a school day!

Back to School Today ...

Children are up and dressed ready to go - a little too early for the school run ... will miss them but good to get back into a routine....
