Luke and the Sunflowers.

OK I know I am harping on about my garden - but with all the rain we have had (are having) it
is growing well. Here is my full corner - lilies, chocolate mint, lemon tree, tomatoes, marigolds (lots of them!), corn, oak tree, lettuce, sunflowers, runner beans, peppers, chillies, broccoli, cabbage, spring onion, mint and more as I am sure I have forgotten something.

We took Anna-Kate to Brokerswood for a Brownie BBQ - when we came out the garden was calling us so we went outside. My sunflowers are going to bloom soon ...
Here is one of the heads - I can not wait to see them out.

Luke in front of the sunflower row. They are twice his height now.

Should I be worried? Are these thunder clouds ...just showing you how tall my sunflower is - and
you can see the tip of my runner beans.

This sunflower is as tall as my conservatory !

Day Lilies

This one came out on Sunday - while I was mowing the lawn - badly !!! My lines are rather creative ... but it had to be done.

My ladybird.

I have not seen many this year but here is another ladybird, she was on my rhubarb and then I bumped her accidently.

Anna-Kate's Weather Project.

I let Anna-Kate take her camara into school last Thursday. The whole school has been learning about weather and so had a display in the hall. Here are her pictures.

The windmill poster Anna-Kate helped create.

Anna-Kate on a big contraption !

Anna-Kate and Luke's baking.

Our baking attempt - the kiddies begged me to bake. They had great fun and I must do it more often with them !!! My mid-year resolution !

My Roses, Nasturtium and a Marigold.

All these flowers are growing in my garden. This year I have 6 rose bushes , 4 nasturtium plants and lots of marigolds....

I was feeling creative and arty !

My garden two weeks later.

What a difference two weeks makes. I didn't have Anna-Kate here today as she was visiting her granny, but the sunflowers have grown really well. Here are some pictures I took today. I think nearly all the sunflowers are taller than me - much taller than Anna-Kate !

Here is my corner plot. The sunflower here is taller than me - there are a couple more growing on the plot too. My rhubarb is huge, I am quite impressed as I have never seen rhubarb growing before and had no idea what to expect.

Another row of sunflowers. I think the last time I took a photo of these they were about as tall as the solid part of fence... can not wait until they bloom.

My day lilies are due to bloom soon too -

can you tell I am excited?
