HAPPY NEW YEAR !

I was all tucked up in bed by 11pm last night. This is a throwback from my nursing days - I have mostly had Christmas off and then had to work over New Year - so I don't really celebrate it as such.
I was very rudely awoken at midnight by the LOUDEST fireworks right over head. I do not know how my littlies slept through it ! (But they were beautiful !)

Tidied up the house a little to bring the new year in to a clean house.

I also made a huge roast for our main meal - and so only had Christmas pudding for tea.

I have been crafting - I have crocheted 20 blocks for a blanket, the Hello Kitty one, I am working on. I am a little upset though - I searched Trowbridge for the pink wool I was using and it is no where to be found so I hope the recipient will like the colours I have chosen.

My first cake layer and jelly roll have arrived - for a quilt. My grandfather sent us money for Christmas so I persuaded hubby we needed (reallllly needed) a hand me down quilt. So I am going to give it a go this weekend !

Of to Ikea tomorrow - just for one clock I promise (hahah - who am I kidding?)

I hope that 2009 brings you health, wealth and definitely happiness ...
