Grandpa's Outing.

Grandpa took my two out for a walk a couple of Sundays ago - which they loved! They found a stream, saw horses and had great fun!
This is my favourite picture of Luke (I gave it a 70's twist on another website - note orangy / brown tint and rounded corners!) Luke was sensible and stayed dry....

but his sister went for a swim in her clothes !!! She loved it. Luke did say that the next time they go he will swim ... Anna-Kate is modelling for the camara.

Luke standing on the bridge - think this picture was taken by Grandpa.

My favourite photo of the bridge.

My knitting.

My first big project for me. Very handy when it is cool but not cold enough for my winter coat! I have worn it quite a lot...but hopefully wont need it now until autumn!

I made this for my mum - but I must have read the pattern incorrectly as it is waist length on me (a short five footer!) and mum is much taller than me! But it is a handy wear just to throw on when picking up the kiddies from school.

Last but not least a blue wrap. I liked it in the pattern and on my stand but it wouldn't lie right on me so I undid it. The wool is now sat next to me calling out my name! Unsure what to make it into yet though.

Snow !

I can not remember if it was April or May ...but I know it was later than last year - and not very thick - it melted the same day!
Here is the view from my bedroom window - looks out over our conservatory, back garden and an open green behind our house. We walk out there every day to and from school.
From the conservatory - where I have plants growing now - mostly little trees from birds!!! And sunflowers, corn oh and a conker ! My strawberry plants are in the swimming pool - I had just moved them before the snow as we had, had a beautiful weekend!
My bluebells - I bought two plants from Brokerswood a couple of years ago. They tell me spring is on the way!
My tree at the bottom of the garden in full blossem. Lovely, delicate white flowers.
Luke climbed the tree and ate an ice-cream. They love playing in the tree and climb far too high really !!!

Music Recitals.

Anna-Kate playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star at her first piano recital. She did really well and I was very proud of her.

Luke and anna-Kate play Cat Scat Cat I think ...

There will be no more photos of them playing the recorder though as they have decided to stop playing. Unfortunately their lessons were at break time and littlies have lots to do at lunch break!
But Anna-Kate has continued with piano...

Anna-Kate's Birthday.

Here is the birthday girl. She was awake long before her brother - I wouldn't let her open her presents until he was awake. But I let her open this one - a craft book (which is by now well thumbed!) from her Granny and Grandad in South Africa. The calender is from her aunty and uncle who live in Canada.
Anna-Kate loves arts and crafts - she can often be found drawing pictures or writing stories!

Playing with her DS - a very addictive game called Animal Crossing !! I love it too.
Anna-Kate really wanted to go bowling for her party - so here she is with a few of her friends.

From the left is Emily, Olivia, Sophie, Kiara and Anna-Kate.
Here is my favourite photo - just looking at it brings back the laughter !!

To prove some bowling did go on!

Anna-Kate's Granny Square Blanket.

I finished this blanket in time for her birthday - it took a while - she only has a single bed but it is big enough for a double bed! She doesn't like duvets very much so she loves it.

Catching up!

I can not believe that I have not been here for so long ! Blame it on Face Book .... here is the link if you want to see my page there. http://www.facebook.com/home.php I hope that works!

We are all well - Anna-kate and Luke have both had birthdays since I was last here!
Anna-Kate is 8 and Luke is 6.

Here they both are. This photo was taken in January when the area behind us flooded quite badly. I think on that day we walked out and about three times to see if the water was rising or falling!

And here is birthday boy! He had a proper birthday cake at other gatherings / parties... but this was his actual birthday so he had to blow candles out !!!

My winter beanie! I was cold walking the kiddies to school so crocheted a beanie for myself, Anna-Kate and Luke (Anna-Kate's was the same as mine but in a baby pink). Here is Luke's -

And one of the spider -

While on the subject of hats - here is one I created myself - my first experiment without a pattern (besides spider above!)

Will start another post in a while - think that is enough photos for now LOL !
Keep well.
